THE FULL STORY

My name is Daniel Harris and I'm passionate about 3D modelling and creating games from all aspects. I currently have 8 years of digital modelling and games design experience in an educational environment ranging from concept to finished pieces by using software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Photoshop and Unity.

The Early Stages:

From 2012-2014, I went to college to study an extended Level 3 BTEC in Creative Media Production. Upon which achieving a Triple Grade Distinction* Distinction Distinction (D*DD). While still at college I stayed another 2 years to complete a HND (Higher National Diploma) in the same Games Design because I knew that 3D modelling is where I wanted to be. To achieve this result, I gained experience using 3ds Max and Photoshop.

Upon completing the HND in 2016 and achieving a Merit, I knew that if I wanted to make it further within this industry the best option would be to expand my knowledge at university.

Off to University:

After being accepted into Plymouth University to study Computing and Games Development in 2017, I achieved a 2:2 for my first year. Upon reaching the second year, I felt that my skills would take me in a more creative direction thus changing course to Game Arts & Design in 2018. For the second year, I have achieved a 2:2 but getting around 53% - 67% for 5 modules.

Now in 2020, I have graduated Plymouth University with a Second Class Honors (Upper Division, 2:1) in Game Arts & Design. The next step is to use this degree to either create indie games for myself or join an already excising studio to put my skills to the test.
